How do I arrange a custom-made brace or orthosis solution?Updated 2 years ago
Please email [email protected] to inquire about and coordinate a custom support, brace, or orthosis. Custom braces are developed from a series of individual anatomical measurements that must be recorded and provided to Bauerfeind, along with special patient requirements for the brace, on specific order forms for custom-made products. Each customisable support, brace and orthosis option has its own unique order form, which can be accessed below.

To arrange a custom brace, a clinician can conduct the measurements for the patient and submit a completed order form to [email protected]. A virtual meeting can be organised with a Bauerfeind technician to provide additional support, oversight, and guidance to ensure accurate measurement of patients and completion of the order form.
Arranging a Custom Option Through a Bauerfeind Technician
For Sydney-based clients, a Bauerfeind technician can also conduct the measurements for the patient either at the clinic or the Bauerfeind facility at 227 Elizabeth Street, Sydney, NSW 2000. In these instances, an appointment with a Bauerfeind technician is required. The duration of custom bracing appointments are approximately 30-45 minutes, during which our technician will examine the patient’s condition, consider all relevant clinical insight, discuss the workflow for custom solutions, conduct and record measurements, and ensure mutual understanding of expectations regarding payment and manufacturing.
Patient Images
During the appointment, photography may be used to capture images for the purpose of supporting Bauerfeind technicians in evaluating and examining the patient’s condition and presentation, and enabling them to make appropriate recommendations during garment manufacturing.
Consult and Service Charge
Appointments for custom braces at Bauerfeind incur an initial consult and service fee of $79.95 AUD, which is payable on the day following the appointment.
Submission of Completed Order Forms
Bauerfeind will submit the final completed order form to the Bauerfeind manufacturers in Germany for a final quotation.
