Can I trial a product on a patient prior to purchasing?Updated 2 years ago
Bauerfeind recognise the strong need and importance for clinicians and patients to developing familiarity with our products, understand their suitability for specific conditions, assess comfort and compliance probability, and ensure an optimised fit prior to any investment. The diversity in the sizing availabilities for each Bauerfeind product often also necessitates patients first trying on a selection of adjacent sizes to confirm the correct option and consolidate a tailored solution that effectively meets individual patient needs and promotes confidence.
Bauerfeind offer the possibility for clinicians to organise trials of products for their patients through coordinated product trial periods. These established periods allow for a product to be held in the clinic for a period of 14 days, providing ample opportunity to trial the product on patients and determine suitability and fit. Trial products are subjected to identical expectations regarding product quality preservation and care as DEMO products provided for the purposes of educational workshops. Hence, to enable a successful return of any products at the completion of the trial period. The conditions for trial products follow that:
- Products can only be trialled on patients in a controlled clinical environment
- Trialling is defined as the wearing of a product in a controlled clinical setting, under the supervision of a practitioner, for approximately 15 minutes
- Patients cannot exit the clinic with the product. Doing so will disqualify the product for a return
- The product cannot be washed

A clinic can purchase a trial product by informing Bauerfeind of the intent to do so, after which an invoice will be issued for the product. Any trial products that will not be purchased can simply be returned to Bauerfeind using a return label provided by Bauerfeind.
All Bauerfeind trial products will be subjected to a quality assessment by the Bauerfeind Returns team upon receipt of product. Should our team have any concerns or questions regarding the status of returned products, our team will kindly reach out to you for support in addressing any matters.
