Can an item be returned if it has been worn?Updated 13 days ago
Bauerfeind can only accept returns for items that are in new, resalable condition.
If an item has been worn for activity, used beyond a gentle try-on, or shows signs of wear, it cannot be accepted for return.
Partners are encouraged to let patients try items gently in clinic or at home to ensure the best fit before continued use.
What counts as “worn”?
An item is considered worn if it shows:
Use during daily activity, sport, or work
Stretching, fraying, pilling, or loose threads
Marks, makeup, deodorant, or skin creams
Odours or signs of washing
Damage from incorrect fitting or handling
These items cannot be accepted as they no longer meet resalable condition standards.
What is acceptable for return?
You are welcome to initiate a return if the item has been:
Tried gently at home or in clinic
Handled with care
Kept clean and free from marks
Returned with all packaging and tags
This level of wear is completely acceptable and supports a smooth return assessment.
Special note: Non-returnable product types
For hygiene or customisation reasons, the following items cannot be returned even if unworn:
Compression socks/stockings
Insoles
Custom-made items
Special orders
Sale/clearance items
